Kapton®* is a high temperature polyimide insulation with extremely high abrasion and cut through resistance. Kapton®* has an excellent dielectric strength and it can be used with a thinner wall size than other insulations.

UL approved singles are available for up to 200°C. Weight saving, space, and strength are reasons for using Kapton®* for primaries or jacket insulations.
